   This is what you call internet marketing and it’s not easy for a beginner. It depends how you want to market it, for example if you are going to put up a website or not. The two main ways of marketting are emails or websites, preferably both. It also depends how much money you have set aside for marketting, an online business should be treated seriously just as any other business, but the advantages of the net are that you can cut costs in many ways.
   So let’s start with your domain name and web site. If you have no experience with web sites or web hosting then you need to know shortcuts to doing everything and i’m the master of shortcuts!
   For your domain name you can get a free one from http://www.co.cc. This will however be .co.cc so http://www.yoursite.co.cc much better if you get a TLD (top level domain) like a .com for around 11 dollars.
   Then you need web hosting, many hosts give you a free domain name with a hosting package which can cost from as little as around 20 dollars per year, to as much as you like depending on your needs. Then you need an ecommerce site and there are many pre-built scripts available for free.
   Then you need to customise it, you can either get ready made templates or DIY. Now you’re about ready to start! Fill it with products, set up your paypal account to work with the script and promote.
   Promotion…well first you have options. You can pay someone! It’s a lot less work for you but it can be costly. Second, you can DIY. Download this programme: http://webceo.com it’s a set of optimisation tools. Learn it, (there are instructions) optimise your site then submit it to search engines. There is a free university course included with web ceo, it’s a good idea to study this as you go. Now you need to consider google adwords, this is a service run by google which will advertise your site for you at a cost per month that you determine and at a rate that you determine. So for example you could say you will pay 4 cents per click up to a maximum of 50 dollars per month and google will put out your ad and stop it when it reaches its maximum. You also need to create a load of backlinks from quality sites to yours. So social networking etc. You should also collect email addresses for your mail camoaigns but be warned that spamming is illegal in some countries so you need to get permission before sending emails. This is often done by giving something away for free but in return for an email address. There are many other ways, some of which are powerful but unusual but you have enough to think about at the moment!

   Some are specific to particular sites and others are more general. But of course if you have given your online business a lot of serious thought you may want to approach it from a proffesional angle from the outset.    There are many ways to market a product. What you really need to do is to understand your customer and learn where they are looking to solve their sinus problem. This could include various forums, home remedy blogs etc where you could advertise.

   You could also use PPC advertising – Google adwords and facebook ads.

   Writing a blog on herbal medicine would also get you traffic. As would ezine articles.

   Email marketing could work, too.

   There are many ways. You just need to find a few that work and constantly seek to improve conversion rates.
